"Watery Lily Pads" by Michelle Penland Dodson is from “All the Moons in all the Waters”, which synthesizes several years of artistic contemplation into a single animated short film. The audio-visual work by Integrated Visions (Michelle Penland Dodson and Bryan Dodson), began as a collection of drawings and songs created over several years. The drawing was created using various digital techniques, including self-trained artificial intelligence models. Each part of the process was approached with a contemplative mind, letting the work evolve without attachment. Over six months, countless generations and iterations were developed, culminating in an organic, watery evolution of animation.
